Laboratory Technician
Our client, a leading organization in the research and development sector, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician you will be part of the Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory supporting sample preparation, laboratory organization, and testing activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Maplewood, MN
Pay Range: $18 to $22 p/h W-2
Duration: 12 month contract
What's the Job?
- Prepare and maintain laboratory spaces and organize resources for analytical testing.
- Support laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and samples.
- Perform sample preparation utilizing pipetting equipment, analytical balances, cutting instruments, and other lab equipment as trained/directed.
- Conduct chemical testing to capture basic analytical data.
- Conduct mechanical performance testing for research, development, and quality control.
What's Needed?
- Experience with laboratory sample preparation and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment such as pipettes, balances, and cutting tools.
- Good organizational skills to manage laboratory resources efficiently.
- Willingness to support experimental activities and adhere to safety protocols.
- High school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician in a commercial, industrial, government, or academic research environment. [OR] 2-year associate degree in a laboratory science (chemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field).
