Duration-12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $31.64/hr.
Shift: 1st Shift (08:00:AM - 04:30:PM)
The Opportunity
- The Packaging Lab Technician I provides hands-on support for package testing, laboratory operations, and equipment maintenance within a packaging engineering laboratory. This entry-level role is responsible for preparing test samples, executing standardized test methods, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring laboratory equipment and work areas remain organized and compliant with quality requirements.
- Perform routine package testing under the guidance of engineers and senior technicians.
- Prepare, label, condition, and document test samples.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as compression testers, environmental chambers, seal strength testers, and leak test systems.
- Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Assist with calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Support engineers with project activities and completion of work requests.
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a laboratory environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new testing methods.
