Laboratory Technician
Our client, a research organization specializing in material testing and laboratory analysis, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Laboratory Support team supporting ongoing research projects. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Maplewood, MN (100% onsite)
Pay Range: $18 to $22
Duration: 12 month contract
What's the Job?
- Generate and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Conduct material testing, including mechanical testing to evaluate material strength and performance
- Operate laboratory testing equipment such as Instron or MTS systems to measure material properties
- Collect, analyze, and document test data accurately using Excel and electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs)
What's Needed?
- High school diploma required; a college degree is not necessary
- Approximately 6 months to 1 year of laboratory experience preferred
- Experience with laboratory testing, material testing, or mechanical testing is a plus
- Comfortable working with basic chemistry concepts and laboratory safety practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis
