Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Banquet/Catering Kitchen Help. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation and ensuring smooth kitchen operations for banquet and catering events. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic culinary environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes.
- Assist in setting up and organizing kitchen stations for efficient workflow.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by chefs and kitchen supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including equipment, surfaces, and utensils.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and slicers.
- Support the kitchen team during service by plating dishes, garnishing plates, and ensuring timely food delivery to guests.
- Assist in packing and transporting food items to off-site catering events as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Background friendly.
NOTE: This position is typically Thursday - Sunday. We are looking for candidates that we can call 48 hours before the event.
