State Fair Sales Associate

Nordic Ware is looking for a State Fair Sales Associate to assist customers at the Minnesota State Fair. You will be paid between $15 and $17 per hour, based on qualifications. Current employees receive no less than their regular rate.

• Greet customers warmly and help them find products, answer questions, and offer product recommendations.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handling credit and electronic payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate information.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to the booth’s dress code and customer service standards.

• Basic computer and register skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
• Excellent attendance and timeliness.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts throughout the fair, including evenings, weekends; weekend availability strongly preferred.
• Experience in cooking and baking is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about products, details, and functions.

• Must be able to stand and remain in a stationary position for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to move throughout the booth.
• Capacity to communicate clearly with customers and understand instructions from team members.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Requires reaching, grasping, and occasional physical movement to stock products.
• Physical requirements may be accommodated with reasonable accommodations.
