Overview

CVS Health® is seeking a Store Manager In Training (SMIT) to develop future leadership. The program spans 16 weeks of self‑paced collaboration and hands‑on learning, preparing candidates for a Store Manager position.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
  • Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
  • Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
  • Actively engage with your leader in key learning experiences to support your path to promotion.
  • Support the store as a member of the management team and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues in support of the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
  • Be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree; or relevant retail management experience such as CVS Supervisor experience.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
  • Willingness and ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
  • Strong communication, customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and leadership skills.
Eligibility for Promotion

Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotion is dependent on performance, availability of openings, and acceptance of a Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.

Hours and Pay

Anticipated weekly hours: 40. Full‑time. Pay range: $18.50 – $26.25 per hour.
