Cub Oakdale Wine & Spirits is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Assistant Liquor Manager position! The Assistant Liquor Manager is to assist in managing the Liquor Store in promoting sales, achieving sales goals, profit margins and labor goals.

• Assists customers and ensures proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Organizes, directs and assists the work of the stock crew.
• Assists in planning and implementation of department merchandising plans.
• Orders product for the Liquor department.
• Assists with training and evaluation of Liquor department personnel.
• Assists in monitoring and directing safety, sanitation and loss prevention standards in the department.
• Participates in receiving function and back room organization.
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures.
• Responsible for assisting with ongoing department planning, execution and evaluation to ensure maximum sales, effective cost control and efficient utilization of labor.
• Collaborates with Liquor Manager in departmental goal setting.
• Oversees the Department in the absence of the Liquor Manager.

Equipment operation: scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc. Must be able to walk long distances, stand for long periods, and memorize, read, write, and perform basic math. Must understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing. Good judgment is required when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

• Associate's degree or above preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of department operations.
• Previous knowledge and experience with sales of beer, wine, and spirits helpful.
• Lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 2500 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Requires open availability; at least one evening shift between Friday to Sunday.
