Companion Animal Senior Territory Representative - St. Paul, MN

Summary of the job:

Our Senior Territory Representative interacts face‑to‑face with customers, understands their needs, and consults to offer the right solutions. The role works collaboratively in field sales teams and supports our customer‑centric business model.

Responsible for working in the assigned territory to understand and identify veterinary clinic, shelter facility, and corporate account customer needs, selling our Animal Health division’s Companion Animal product portfolio, supporting pull‑through activities, and ensuring our products are viewed as valuable strategic innovations.

Also demonstrates an understanding of the resources available across our Animal Health division and Distribution Partners.

This role will cover the St. Paul, MN territory. It is strongly preferred that sales employees reside within the territory they cover; however, employees may live up to 20 miles from the territory border.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Communicates about our product portfolio in a meaningful and relevant way for each customer; customizes discussions based on the customer's needs.
  • Primary point of contact for assigned customers; meets with key personnel to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, and customer needs.
  • Develops customer strategy, outlining interactions, relationships, solutions, partner involvement, and potential offerings that result in sales opportunities and account growth.
  • Develops territory and specific account plans for all key customers; partners with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners.
  • Works collaboratively across species teams to foster knowledge of the entire product portfolio.
  • Shares knowledge with region team members to foster growth and development.
  • Analyzes monthly sales results and manages expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identifies and selects programs/services to address customer needs and provides education and training opportunities.
  • Works with leadership and Field Professional Services to develop and deliver relevant offerings that address customers' needs.
  • Develops current understanding of products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.
  • Articulates and communicates relevant customer, industry, product, and market trends appropriately through the organization.
  • Responsible for developing and meeting learning and development objectives agreed upon with leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma with at least 10 years of sales or equivalent experience OR

Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of sales experience
