Inside Sales Representative – This role establishes relationships with prospective and existing customers, generates revenue for assigned accounts/territory, and provides service support for the company’s product portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies, builds, and maintains customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Forecasts, meets, and exceeds assigned sales quota through direct sales of Owens & Minor products.
  • Grows and manages assigned accounts/territory efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing identification of needs and expectations.
  • Pursues business opportunities to retain existing revenue while expanding product usage and customer penetration.
  • Conducts sales presentations and product demonstrations via phone and webinar tools.
  • Provides quotes and supports all aspects of the bidding process; maintains and corrects pricing for accuracy.
  • Closes sales in accordance with sales policies and procedures.
  • Partners with internal teams (e.g., Client Engagement Center) to resolve customer service questions or significant disruption issues.
  • Provides accurate pipeline management and reporting and executes tactical sales plans.
  • Thoroughly learns and maintains current knowledge of Owens & Minor products, services, and competitors’ landscape.
  • Communicates shipping schedules with Distribution Center.
  • Logs sales activities into the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Performs additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience
  • 2 or more years of sales experience in Inside Sales, Business-to-Business Sales, Account Management, Healthcare Supply Chain, Healthcare Products, or a related industry.
  • Or any combination of relevant education and experience to meet the above requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • General knowledge of the supply chain/distribution industry.
  • General understanding of hospitals and how large hospital systems operate.
  • Knowledge of salesmanship with the ability to learn consultative selling techniques.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and use CRM software (Salesforce) and generate 90 interaction points per day via telephone, email, virtual tools, and chat.
  • General knowledge of competitive products, pricing, and strategy.
  • Ability to implement sales strategies.
  • Ability to follow up and follow through to ensure customer commitments are kept.
  • Ability to deliver effective product presentations through clear verbal and written communication.
  • Awareness of applicable government regulations and their impact on the business.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate project planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to recognize and seize incremental sales opportunities.
  • Ability to display sound business judgment consistently.
  • Good business sense.
  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 plus $54,500 incentive. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
