Technical Service Representative (Midwest)

Job Description:
The Technical Service Representative is responsible for positioning and promoting Gowan's portfolio of products, including those entering the commercial phase and newly acquired products. This role serves as a dual function, providing both field science support and technical sales assistance. The Technical Service Representative works closely with Field Development Representatives to conduct or coordinate field research while providing technical support to the sales team, distribution partners, retailers, consultants, university personnel, and key centers of influence within the assigned regions.

Activities:
- Serve as a liaison between sales/marketing and development to promote, protect, and identify product opportunities within Gowan's portfolio
- Generate demand through technical support and field demonstrations with strategic products, focusing mainly on field tours, linked with recommendations, demo plot plots, field days, counter days, technical talks, distributor support, etc.
- Prepare reports on demonstration plot plots and disseminate the results of the work carried out.
- Focus on the development and positioning of new materials, specialty products, or those of interest to the company.
- Know the area of influence and the factors involved; market, crops, clients, competition, seasons, opportunities, etc., and constantly provide feedback to your immediate supervisor.
- Safeguard the company's products, handle complaints, document, and follow up on such requests.
- Prepare a monthly report, as well as a schedule of activities and results achieved.
- Maintain ethical conduct in your work, along with good behavior, punctuality, discipline, and effective and precise performance of your duties.
- Make proper use of the materials and equipment provided by the company for the performance of your activities.
- Establish, develop, and maintain good business relationships with current and potential clients.
- Continuously conduct market analysis to guide decision-making.
- Continuously organize training sessions, demonstrations, and field tours with clients.
- Explore new areas where we are not yet present, searching for niches.

Knowledge and
Skills:
- Education:
MS or PhD in Agronomy, Weed Science, Entomology or Plant Pathology required - Travel Required:
Yes. - Experience:
2-3 years in a similar position. - Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in Office, Outlook, statistics, technical and agronomic profile skills. - Knowledge of the zone, both in the field and in relationships with potential clients.
- Excellent customer service attitude, initiative, ability to relate to farmers, communication skills, organization, dynamism, and professional ethics.
