As an Acute Care Clinical Sales Specialist, you represent the Respiratory Health product line at Baxter in hospitals. You drive sales of the Volara System, Vest 205, and Synclara System, focusing on capital opportunities and associated disposables. You provide strategic leadership on healthcare system and IDN opportunities, oversee pricing strategy, contracts, and coordinate with clinical specialists.
Responsibilities- Drive new sales across the acute care continuum and adopt a solutions‑sell proposition.
- Use internal resources and tools to explain product applications and benefits, and develop needs‑based sales opportunities.
- Conduct negotiations with decision makers, keeping the sales process fluid and closing sales.
- Coordinate with clinical specialists and local Baxter counterparts to drive new sales and provide ongoing customer service.
- Lead installation of new products, provide basic training, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain relationships to retain the current base and grow new sales.
- Strengthen Baxter relationships across the hospital network to expand account presence and leadership position.
- Travel 60‑75% of the time with overnight stays as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years proven experience as a top‑level sales performer in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Strong analytical skills to supervise sales activity, develop sales plans, and analyze market trends.
- Ability to sell to system/IDN senior‑level staff, structure deals, negotiate contracts and pricing, and influence decision makers.
- Documented track record with complex, multi‑departmental deals involving clinical, executive, and financial decision makers.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Variable travel (75%) including overnight travel 60‑75%.
- Residence in the Northeast (NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME, MD, PA) required.
- Base salary range $52,800 to $90,000 plus commission target.
