Description
Are you an independent sales rep interested in helping businesses with innovative advertising campaigns? If so, we’d love to have you join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The purpose of the Airport Sponsorship Manager is to meet and exceed revenue goals by working collaboratively with the airport to identify and pitch available sponsorship opportunities using professional sales techniques. To perform this primary duty, the manager will be customarily and regularly engaged outside of Lamar’s offices and will promote airport sponsor ships through a relationship-based approach at the airport and at locations of potential customers.
Additionally, this position cultivates positive and lasting relationships with airport authority personnel and provides local oversight to administrative and operational employees.

- A Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm hybrid schedule with paid holidays.
- Base salary of $75,000 with earning potential of $75,000 - $175,000.

- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Speak one-to-one with appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies and procedures, and persuade others.
- Ability to make oral presentations to provide information or explain policies and procedures.
- Skill in speaking with persons from various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
- General knowledge of local and national media trends, including companies outside of Lamar.
- Ability to explain the outdoor advertising business to customers and account executives from installation and product standpoints.
- Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
- Work under general direction and resolve most conflicts that may arise independently.
- Initiate various projects and assignments.
- Analyze information, problems, or situations to define problems, identify concerns/patterns, and formulate logical conclusions.
- Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer proficiency.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Must have full-time access to a reliable vehicle for work Monday-Friday.
- Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2-3 years of successful business-to-business sales experience.
- Preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Advertising/media sales experience.
- Proven relationships with area clients, established track record of selling to local and direct clients.
- Develop revenue-producing sponsorship programs with major local and regional brands.
- Market the custom display sponsorship locations of the airport to the local community.
- Grow sponsorship opportunities through new and innovative partnerships outside of traditional advertising assets.
- Help local brands grow their presence through locally based welcome messaging and sponsored events.
- Work closely with marketing groups on experiential opportunities at the airport.
