Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to manage the registration of incoming samples from the shipping department. This role involves maintaining an accurate record system of work performed daily and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.
Responsibilities
* Register incoming samples from the shipping department.
* Maintain a neat and accurate record system for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.
* Enter sample data into DQCI LIMS or Eurofins eLIMS systems.
* Verify and submit results to the appropriate personnel for lab testing.
* Understand and follow Quality System documents, including Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
* Adhere to quality measures to meet or exceed ISO/IEC standards and government regulatory requirements.
* Clean glassware, vials, and workstations to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

Skills & Qualifications
* BA/BS in a Scientific Discipline preferred.
* A 2-year or 4-year degree in biology or a scientific field is preferred but not required.
* Strong reliability and work ethic, verified by references.
Work Environment
The role is located 100% in the sample receiving area, which is similar to a shipping department where samples of milk are entered into the system from dairy producers. The shift is from 4am to 12:30pm, and employees rotate roughly one Saturday a month, receiving a day off during that week. The culture is fast-paced, requiring hard work and excellent communication within a team of three people.
There is potential to train and work in the microbiology lab, eventually splitting time based on performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
