About the Job
This appointment will be to continue work on the RER genomic assay. Evaluate the predictive models developed to classify horses into multiple risk categories (very low, low, moderate, high, and very high) and also examine a new machine learning method that could improve performance in the TBs. Work to finalize the Standard bred model in a similar manner. Once models have been finalized, write the corresponding manuscripts.
QualificationsAll required qualifications must be included in the application material
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in computational genomics
- Experience with:
- Computational and bioinformatics
- Machine learning and statistical modeling
- Programming and data infrastructure
- Experimental and Field Methods
Pay Range: $34.70/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
