Salary: $40.00+ / hour
Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM, 2-2-3 rotation
Location: St. Paul, MN
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, packaging, and utility systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and GMPs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability and performance.
- Interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.
- Support installation of new equipment and system improvements.
- Assist and train machine operators to reduce downtime and improve troubleshooting skills.
- Utilize appropriate hand and power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices to complete mechanical and electrical tasks safely.
- Communicate effectively with departments to report maintenance issues and collaborate on solutions.
- Accurately complete documentation for maintenance work and maintain equipment history records.
- Stay informed on new technologies, systems, and maintenance practices.
- First Class B Boiler Engineer License (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Trade or technical school graduation preferred in areas such as mechanical, electrical, PLCs, refrigeration, or related fields
- 4-6 years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
- Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems; experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
- Skilled in the safe use of hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments
