Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
The Cryogenic Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, refurbishing, inspecting, and maintaining cryogenic equipment, including bulk and micro bulk storage tanks. They ensure the proper function of gas storage and distribution equipment while maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Install equipment for bulk and micro bulk tank distribution systems
- Perform maintenance repairs on all bulk and micro bulk tanks and ancillary equipment ensuring good working conditions
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, service and repair a variety of equipment problems
- Conduct site surveys for cryogenic systems
- Prepare and complete all required documentation for installations and inspections to maintain compliance
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner
- Install low to medium pressure process piping inside customer facilities
- Understanding of material capability
- Provide support to customers regarding best equipment for their project needs
- Maintain communication across all departments providing cryogenic support for all locations
- Support the EOS/Traction process by attending and participating in L-10 meetings
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor
- Work closely with Plant Managers to ensure Plant fill equipment are fully operational
Experience and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalency, Technical College degree or equivalent is preferred
- 2+ years of previous plumbing or other relevant technical experience
- 2+ years of cryogenic system equipment experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application, and equipment is an asset
- Skilled in working with electricity and electrical components
- Strong mechanical ability
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Operate, use, and train others on all equipment and machines
- Must be able to interpret equipment diagrams and complete necessary documents for projects
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License to travel to customer sites
- Strong team player that excels working independently
- Company vehicle will be provided to perform necessary travel for the job
- Forklift, man lift, ladder, two-wheel dollies and liquid cart
- Office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ERP Software
- Various power and handheld tools, such as grinders, impact wrenches drills, flow meters, amp clamps, engine compressor, electrical testing equipment, etc.
- Safety shoes and safety glasses required; gloves, hearing protection, and welding gear when applicable

The hourly range for this position is $28/hour - $34/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity.
