Direct hire union position pay rate: $30.30–$33.02 per hour. Shift: 12 hour shifts, 2-2-3 schedule.
Day shift: 6am-6pm
Night shift: 6pm-6am
What's a typical day as a Maintenance Tech? You'll be:
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems across plant equipment.
- Accurately documenting all work completed in the daily Individual Shift Report.
- Maintaining adequate inventory levels by logging parts usage and notifying supervisors of low stock.
- Conducting general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Performing electrical repairs on single-phase and three-phase power distribution systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment control wiring and electrical systems.
- Inspecting equipment and independently performing corrective actions within the scope of a Class B Maintenance Technician.
- Adhering to safety procedures, GMP standards, and proper repair practices at all times.
- Executing assigned equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks independently.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, or 2 years with relevant technical training specific to facility equipment.
- Are proficient in single-phase electrical systems and motors.
- Possess advanced knowledge of three-phase electrical distribution systems.
- Can read electrical schematics and effectively troubleshoot control circuits.
- Are skilled in the use of electrical testing instruments (continuity testers, amp meters, voltage testers).
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing complex equipment repairs and adjustments.
- Can interpret and apply information from equipment and parts manuals.
- Are able to identify parts requirements and communicate reorder needs.
- Excel at performing and documenting preventive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and proactively resolve issues to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
