Overview
The City of Saint Paul Fleet Services Division is seeking a Vehicle Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and specialized municipal vehicles. Join a skilled team dedicated to keeping the City's fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and multiplex electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
- Service a wide range of equipment, including heavy trucks, construction machinery, maintenance equipment, chainsaws, mowers, and light-duty vehicles that support essential City services.
- Conduct inspections, document maintenance and repairs, track parts and labor usage, and maintain accurate records in electronic fleet management systems.
- Demonstrate strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- ASE Certification is highly valued and demonstrates a commitment to professional excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair.
