The Role at a glance: Como Town seeks a versatile Maintenance Technician to help maintain equipment, building maintenance, preventive maintenance, compressors, food service equipment and perform minor electrical duties at Como Town, a 4-acre amusement park adjacent to the Como Zoo. All candidates must be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for individual or groups of attractions, rides and other equipment typically utilized in theme park attractions.
• Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable mechanical systems.
• Respond to downtime, repair and ride recovery issues.
• Diagnose system failures and provide immediate correction actions, researching defective mechanically controlled items/parts and instructional information to complete the repair process when needed.
• Troubleshoot by referring to technical manuals and technical library while utilizing a systematic approach.
• Input ride logs: completion of inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made, and lists of applicable parts used.
• Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting practices and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Keep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion (e.g., logbooks, inspection forms).
• Ensure that the ride is clean and visually compliant with manufacturer’s specifications, guest and Como Town expectations.
• Help maintain ride parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safe, continuous operation.
• Clean maintenance shop, including but not limited to stations, equipment, and tools.
• Overtime may be required during peak periods.

Compensation Range: $23 - $26 per hour
