Job DescriptionAs an Installation Technician with Bear Com, you will be involved in the installation and support of wireless and electronic communications systems.
Our Technicians are the heart of every service location, and we rely on their expertise in the delivery of the best service and solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and possess the technical ability to create imaginative solutions that meet and exceed the most challenging customer needs.
Responsibilities- Physical installation of data cabling and associated mounting infrastructure.
- Support commissioning of communications and low voltage systems.
- Perform site walks to determine installation requirements for customer proposals.
- Recommend appropriate equipment and hardware that meets customer requirements.
- Provide some regional and/or overnight travel and on‑call hours when required. Per diem provided when traveling.
- Basic electronics background is a plus.
- Competent operating basic hand and power tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions (e.g., climbing ladders, scaffolding, crawl spaces, high‑reach lift equipment, exposure to elements).
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience reading blueprints and/or logic diagrams a plus.
- Data cabling experience (CAT 5/6, coaxial, fiber, support devices) a plus.
- OSHA safety training and low voltage certifications a plus.
- Distributed antenna system (DAS) installation a plus.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must have high school diploma.
- Drug screenings, motor vehicle record, and background checks part of the hiring process.
