Designed as a hybrid role, the Lead Apprentice Installer position provides a developmental pathway for Lead Installers to become Journey worker Electricians. By establishing and working within a robust crew, the Lead Apprentice Installer can periodically step back from standard solar installation activities to collaborate directly with the on-site Journey worker Electrician, gaining critical hands-on electrical skills and experience. Throughout this training, the Lead Apprentice Installer retains full responsibility for directing the crew's activities.

All Energy Solar believes this method effectively supports the Lead Apprentice in acquiring the competencies necessary to pass the Journey worker Electrician licensing examination and independently perform electrical work for the crew once certified. This highly selective opportunity is typically offered as the company anticipates an imminent need for licensed electricians.

• Maintain total responsibility for the safety and well-being of all crew members on the job site.
• Provide training, mentorship, and constructive performance feedback to develop crew members.
• Delegate operational crew oversight temporarily to a Junior Lead or qualified Installer when learning new tasks alongside the on-site Electrician.
• Collaborate with the on-site Electrician to identify specific electrical tasks for supervised, hands-on instructional experience.
• Provide regular updates on experiential learning achievements and progress to the Electrical Supervisor/Manager.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, business owners, and company management regarding the status of the installation.
• Operate ladders, digging equipment, and power tools safely while adhering strictly to all safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems directly on the job sites.
• Oversee and manage thorough cleanup operations at the job site.
• Execute all necessary documentation and paperwork in an efficient and professional manner.

• At least 3 years of experience in PV solar installation.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience acting as a Lead Installer.
• Fully comfortable climbing ladders and working on roofs.
• Demonstrated capacity to successfully direct and lead a crew.
• Thrives and excels in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and creative in solving problems.

• Currently active in or completed the AES Apprentice Training Program, with preference given to advanced students.
• Deemed by management as having a high likelihood of passing the Journey worker's exam within 6 to 12 months.
• Fully dedicated to achieving Licensed Journey worker Electrician status with All Energy Solar.
• Experienced and proficient in utilizing hand tools and power tools.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must complete and clear an MVR (motor vehicle) background screen.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to utilize and be comfortable (as necessary) driving a company vehicle for work-related purposes.

Physical Requirements Comfortable working extended hours in extreme environments/climate (cold, heat, wind, etc). Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting (frequent). Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. at a time (frequent). Ability to safely climb ladders and navigate steep or uneven roof surfaces (frequent). Ability to safely and confidently climb ladders of varying heights, including extension ladders and step ladders (frequent).
