Opportunity

We are seeking a Site Supervisor to effectively manage and lead industrial service teams at customer sites, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects. This role involves supervising field personnel, resolving conflicts, and coordinating daily activities while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Key responsibilities include performing chemical neutralization and equipment cleaning, managing hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and participating in emergency response projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively supervise and manage industrial service team members and projects at customer sites on a regular basis
  • Resolve conflicts appropriately, accept responsibility for decision making, follow through on all commitments, and utilize internal and external resources properly
  • Practice open communication and cooperation to achieve common understanding with team members of similar and other disciplines
  • Perform chemical neutralization and cleaning of industrial and manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct daily cleanup tasks involving solid and liquid hazardous and non-hazardous material
  • Appropriately perform all assigned waste management tasks at customer locations utilizing correct waste handling procedures and proper completion of waste management documentation
  • Assist in Emergency Response (ER) clean-up activities for hazardous and non-hazardous material, loading and unloading ER equipment, and decontaminating equipment in an efficient manner
  • Actively participate on the Emergency Response (ER) team approximately one week of being on-call 24/7 every five to eight weeks
  • Understand and perform confined space entry (CSE) procedures and act as an Entry Supervisor when staff are cleaning and decontaminating solid and liquid hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Perform the role of Health and Safety Officer on Industrial Service projects
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Participate in and deliver training to the team related to skid steer, forklift, pickup truck and trailer operation, emergency response equipment operation, and other equipment as needed
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license;
    Commercial Driver's License Class B or A helpful
  • Active 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate helpful
  • Demonstrated proficiency in equipment commonly utilized on industrial service projects, such as skid steers, mini excavators, hand tools, air-powered tools, and more
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and supervise work for Industrial Services work crews
  • Basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office products, communicating through email, etc.
  • Successful completion of Confined Space Entry (CSE) training helpful
  • Ability to travel periodically as part of the Emergency Response team
  • Possess or have access to reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to function in work environments that sometimes include high heat, high humidity, extreme cold, roadway traffic hazards, on water (boat operations) and confined spaces.
  • Must be comfortable wearing a full-face respirator for extended periods of time.
  • Adequate vision and hearing to safely see teammates' hand signals and hear warning communication in low light.
  • Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers (including reaching, grasping, twisting, pushing, and pulling).
  • Walking on uneven surfaces & climbing stairs/ladders.
  • Semi-frequent crouching, bending, stooping and twisting, occasionally in tight spaces.
  • Sitting in a vehicle for up to three hours straight.
  • Working while standing during a 12-hour workday.
  • Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs. over an 8-hour period and occasionally up to 50 lbs. over a four-hour period.
  • Occasionally lifting 3"-6" diameter hoses that weigh approximately 20 pounds over the head onto hose racks.
  • Managing a 55-gallon drum containing approximately 400 pounds of material onto a drum dolly, then moving the drum using the dolly.
