Join our team at Regions Hospital as a Carpenter Assistant.
This role will assist journey level carpenters in performance of all required duties while developing skills through on-the-job training program to advance to a journey level carpenter.
This position will:
- Work with the journey level carpenter as well as independently perform carpentry work involved in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of structures and articles of wood or similar material.
- Repair office furniture such as cabinets, bookshelves, and partitions; locksmith duties, install and repair various types of locks.
- Perform related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
(3) Years experience performing maintenance work, repairs, alterations to building equipment and support systems.
Ability to use power and hand tools including Powered table saw, radial arm saw, portable circular saw, jig, band, reciprocating, chain, miter, and saber saws. Jointer, shaper, sanders, grinders, right angle grinder, key cutting machine, drill press, portable drills, hammer drills, routers, heat gun, chop saw, and all hand tools and sign machines.
Work schedule: FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs. weekly), Day Shift, Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
