This position exists to perform a wide variety of plumbing services in a professional manner by providing consistent quality services to ensure clean, safe, and environmentally sound buildings, grounds, and operations for all clientele. Job duties include:

+ Keeping plumbing related equipment operable by conducting proper maintenance and repair that results in energy and water conservation.

+ Performing emergency/repairs considering immediate and long-term solutions to plumbing equipment.

+ Carrying out a preventative maintenance program so that the number of breakdowns and emergencies are minimized.

+ Perform construction work to improve system functionality and ensure that all systems are operational.

+ Assist other trades as requested.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Must possess a valid Journey-level plumber license issued by the State of MN

+ Must possess a valid St. Paul City Plumbing license (Applicants who do not currently possess a City of St. Paul Competency Card must be willing to obtain one within 9 months of hire)

+ Driver's license with acceptable driving record.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + ASSE Backflow Prevention Tester/ Rebuilder Certification

** Physical Requirements*
* Successful candidate must pass pre-employment physical.  Physical Demands:
Work Performance Testing (WPT). Job involves exerting up to 36-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 22-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 11-15 pounds of force constantly to move or lift objects.
