Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide proactive, person-centered support to empower individuals, promote independence, and foster inclusion in residential and community settings. The DSP will assist with daily routines, personal cares, problem-solving support, and shift coverage as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Part Time:
Weekends (Sat. & Sun) AM and PM Shifts 7a-3p or 2p-10p
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: Program Rate = $18.00 - $21.00/hour. Higher wage depends on experience, education, certifications, etc. and Sleep/Overnight Rate = $11.41/hour
Responsibilities- Implement person-centered supports to empower individuals to achieve their long- and short-term goals.
- Foster positive interactions with individuals, peers, family, and the community.
- Document activities, services, and progress in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Support medical needs, accompany to appointments, assist with medications and personal cares.
- Promote community integration and socialization through varied leisure activities.
- Assist with financial tasks and promote cost-effective buying skills.
- Attend required trainings, stay informed about updates, and review training materials.
- Coordinate meal preparation, ensuring adherence to dietary needs and safety protocols.
- Handle incidents and emergencies with sound judgment, prioritizing safety.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrate competency in essential job functions.
- Obtain and maintain a clear criminal background clearance.
- Active U.S. driver’s license that complies with driving eligibility criteria.
- High School proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and mobility support.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration Training course provided by Thomas Allen Inc.
