This position provides clerical support on State Services for the Blind’s Youth Services Team. The incumbent provides fiscal support by creating authorizations for services as well as reviewing invoices prior to payment. Additionally, this position provides case aid support to vocational rehabilitation counselors. Examples of work include gathering needed documents from customers, arranging for Pre-Employment Transition Services, authorizing for services, reviewing invoices, and assisting counselors with other case needs.
This position may also provide coverage and back up support as business needs required. This position will work with counselors who support youth ages 14-22, their families, and their teams.
This position requires some monthly local and statewide travel to meet with customers.
This position is telework eligible. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment. Please note, the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications

- Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information, records, and reports.
- Skill in customer service sufficient to perform the duties with politeness, respect, and interest in positive problem solving.
- Knowledge of communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
