As a Porchlight Project Program Coordinator, you will support grant activities in collaboration with the University of Minnesota research team for the Porchlight Project, which is funded for a period of 5 years from 2/1/22 to 1/31/2027. The goal of the project is to provide volunteers with additional training in working with clients/families with memory loss to enhance client/caregiver outcomes. The Program Coordinator will oversee program management (75%) and will participate in volunteer management, community engagement, and client management activities, including work with internal and external parties.
This position will be supported by funding through 1/31/2027. Continuation of the position beyond the grant period will be based on program performance and fiscal sustainability.
Minimum Requirements- Associate's degree in healthcare, social services, or related field; or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of project management or coordination support experience in human/social service, healthcare and/or older adult services required.
- Multilingual abilities are preferred.
- Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with care and compassion.
- Training in computer skills, bookkeeping and accounts receivable, computer spreadsheets and data management, word processing, excellent communication and customer skills is required. Skills also include organizational skills, problem solving and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Proven experience with detail-oriented tasks is required.
- Knowledge of resources available in program participants' community preferred.
- Experience in program development or research is preferred.
- Experience managing team members is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
