There are three (3) different ways to qualify for this position, and you must have the required work experience:
- One (1) year of advanced-level working experience in regulatory oversight, program certification, compliance monitoring, or licensing within a human services, behavioral health, or residential/housing program along with the required work experiences listed below.
- OR
Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, human services, social work, or another closely related degree.
AND
Two (2) years of working experience providing technical support duties in regulatory oversight, program certification, compliance monitoring, or licensing within a human services, behavioral health, or residential/housing program along with the required work experiences listed below. - OR
Three (3) years of working experience providing technical support duties in regulatory oversight, program certification, compliance monitoring, or licensing within a human services, behavioral health, or residential/housing program along with the required work experiences listed below.
Required work experience must clearly demonstrate:
- Experience reviewing, evaluating, or monitoring program documentation, applications, or compliance records.
- Experience applying federal, state, or local regulations or policies governing human services, housing, or health programs.
- Working knowledge of confidentiality requirements, such as HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, or comparable privacy frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and document management tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Familiarity with state statutes, rules, and policy approaches to human services programs. Continuous improvement process tools and/or models to produce results‑based metrics.
- Skilled at giving presentations and facilitating discussions to solicit and explore diverse perspectives.
- Strong human relations and communication skills; communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; respond flexibly to requests and concerns.
- Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check will be conducted on all finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
- Employee reference checks will be conducted on all finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s).
