Elementary School-Based Social Worker

This full‑time contract position offers the opportunity to work at a single elementary location, collaborating closely with both general and special education teams. Beginning August 31, 2026, and continuing through February 2, 2027, you’ll play an essential role in helping young learners succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

You’ll work closely with students, families, and staff to address diverse needs, offer IEP‑related support, foster family engagement, and deliver consultative expertise to educators. • Masters degree in school social work or related field
• Active Minnesota Social Worker License (PELSB)
• Previous experience with elementary‑age students highly desirable
• Knowledge of IEP processes and student/family support services
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Experience working within both special education and general education settings

• Deliver targeted social work services to elementary students, including those with IEPs
• Support students, families, and staff through consultation, crisis intervention, and resource connection
• Promote positive school climate and family engagement
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to enhance student success
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district policies
