Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in St Paul, MN
. Candidate must have advanced C++, Qt/QML, and OpenGL expertise to be considered for this role.
Rate Range: $60/hour to $62/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Develops advanced C++/Qt/QML software and embedded applications on Linux for diagnostic and interventional cardiology devices.
- Implements real-time graphics, computational geometry algorithms, and performance-optimized OpenGL-based visualizations.
- Creates software requirements, design documents, test plans, and test reports to support full lifecycle development in a regulated environment.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams—including QA, RA, hardware, and test engineering—to ensure product safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Executes code reviews, architecture development, and critical technical decisions backed by investigation and testing.
- Supports manufacturing transfer, provides sustaining engineering during launch phases, and ensures documentation meets medical-device quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (master’s or PhD preferred).
- 6+ years of software development with extensive C++, Qt/QML, and Linux experience.
- Strong proficiency in advanced graphics, OpenGL shader programming, multithreaded real-time applications, and computational geometry.
- Proven background developing software in regulated environments such as medical-device or defense, with excellent documentation and full lifecycle engineering experience.

Pay Details$60.00 to $62.00 per hour
