Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Software Verification Engineer to drive architecture-level improvements, streamline test automation, and lead verification efforts for a regulated medical device platform. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and junior engineers, including a counterpart in Shanghai, to ensure robust software validation and compliance.

• Lead design verification activities for firmware/software applications in a regulated environment.
• Architect and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Cucumber.
• Develop and maintain Verification Plans and Reports with audit-ready documentation.
• Oversee integration and acceptance testing, focusing on system-level validation over embedded unit testing.
• Build and manage custom Windows 10 tablet images using Visual Studio, Team City, and C#.
• Improve test infrastructure to support simultaneous execution of multiple test cases.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with global teams to clarify feature requirements and delegate test development tasks.

• 8–10 years in software verification or test automation.
• Strong experience with Windows 10 environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Cucumber, and C#.
• Experience with GUI testing on Windows tablets.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and CI/CD.
• Proven track record in writing clear, defensible verification documentation.
• Experience in regulated industries, with a preference for medical; A&D or transportation acceptable.
• Familiarity with brittle environments and legacy systems, with the ability to stabilize and optimize.

• Experience creating Tableau dashboards for verification reporting.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional and global teams.
• Passion for improving test coverage and automation efficiency.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, with three days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Saint Paul, MN.
