Part of our hybrid work model at our St Paul, MN HQ office. Work 3+ days in office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

INFRA, a mission‑driven team supports independent natural food grocers by delivering solutions that help them thrive. In this role, you’ll turn big ideas into reality. From brainstorming and architecture to design, implementation, and iteration, you’ll have a hand in every stage. Working with member‑facing teams and partners, you’ll create seamless, intuitive applications for local businesses. This job offers a chance to positively impact communities.
Responsibilities- Development, Code Evaluation & Output Validation (60%)
- Design, code, and test software solutions, ensuring functional and performance requirements are met
- Integrate with existing systems and third‑party services for seamless user experiences
- Leverage AI tools responsibly in development workflows
- Evaluate AI‑generated and human‑written code for quality and risk
- Continuously refine solutions for usability, security, and scalability
- Review code, troubleshoot issues, and support testing practices to improve reliability and performance
- Technical Project & AI Leadership (20%)
- Use the Claude Code framework to create specifications and validation frameworks
- Refine the multi‑agentic development process, surfacing risks, trade‑offs, and system dependencies
- Serve as technical lead, translating needs between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Partner to scope and define initiatives and write structured specification documents
- Keep updated on emerging tools and frameworks, sharing insights
- Business Analysis & Stakeholder Strategy (20%)
- Partner with stakeholders to understand retailer operations and data workflows
- Gather and clarify evolving requirements, identifying candidates for AI assistance
- Translate operational pain points into technical problem statements and specs
- Build and extend the Claude Code setup to streamline development and improve member experiences
- Collaborate with developers and third‑party firms building custom web applications for retailers
- Develop backend processes and API endpoints for INFRA’s automated retailer tools using Python (Django, Django REST Framework) and related libraries
- Experience:
3–5 years of professional software development with a proven track record of production‑ready solutions - Technical Proficiency
- Strong backend skills in Python (Django, Django REST Framework, or FastAPI)
- Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of SQL/No
SQL databases; experience with Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL - Broad scale development experience, including planning, architecture, design, implementation, and testing
- Strong systems thinking – understand tool, workflow, data, and people relationships
- AI‑Assisted Development – hands‑on experience with Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, or similar
- Code Evaluation – critically review and validate both human‑and AI‑generated code for quality, security, risk, maintainability
- Specification & Documentation – write structured technical specs, scoping documents, or solution briefs
- Problem‑Solving Skills – dissect complex issues, identify root causes, craft effective solutions
- Team Player – strong communicator, collaborative, fast‑moving environment
- Adaptability – eager to learn new technologies and tools, embrace change
- Customer & User Empathy – consider users in every build

Location:
INFRA HQ, hybrid workforce, at least 3 days per week.
Reporting to the Director of Technology. Status:
Full‑time exempt. Travel:
Occasional (up to 5%).
Salary information (TP2): $70,000 – $92,500 – $115,000
