Software Development Engineer - Universe Developer

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team. Here at Meritain, we advocate for healthier living by offering flexible, cost‑effective healthcare solutions and compassionate support to empower members in managing their health.

By working with our business partners, you will be expected to define system objectives, develop technical specifications, and handle all phases of application and systems programming to address complex problems efficiently.

• 3+ years’ experience in application program development
• Experience with application development support software packages.
• Experience in an Agile Environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience setting up and using automated testing

• 3+ years’ experience in systems analysis Universe or Uni Data
• Expertise in PICK Basic, WIntegrate, and/or Unix and the systems development life cycle, applicable to development organization
• Previous Healthcare and/or TPA experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
