Senior Firmware Engineer

Overview

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Firmware Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting multiple programs involving Linux system development, driver research and development, and technical issue resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative spirit, which will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

• Support Linux system development, driver research, and troubleshooting across multiple engineering programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system interactions and driver behaviors.
• Assist with research, documentation, and development related to Ethernet and PCIe drivers.
• Coordinate with IT and networking teams to ensure lab network infrastructure remains operational and aligned with project needs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system interactions, driver behaviors, and workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with C programming in a Linux environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, system debugging, and custom Linux builds.
• Familiarity with CMake, XML schema, and Linux build environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Ethernet, PCIe, TCP/IP, and VLANs.
