Responsibilities- Safely navigate delivery vehicles to provide dry ice to our customers' places of business as a key contributor to their operations.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment with a focus on safety and precision to load and unload dry ice.
- Facilitate the documentation process by obtaining customer signatures; support accuracy of piece counts against load manifests and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned, ensuring a sustainable service cycle.
- Provide excellent customer service and share insights from customers with the Branch Manager to help advance our collective service standards.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip reviews on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklists. Maintain a professional environment inside the vehicle for comfort and safety.
- Uphold and champion all company policies, safety procedures, and DOT/OSHA requirements to ensure a secure and supportive workplace.
- Ensure cargo stability prior to and during transit to maintain the highest standards of safety and product quality.
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class CDL A or B & Airbrake endorsements
- Must be able and licensed to drive a standard transmission
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsement
- Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
- Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
