Street/Park Maintenance Position
Join the team to help improve the quality of life for residents and property owners in St. James! The City of St. James is looking to fill the Street/Park Maintenance Position. Under the direction of the Street/Parks Superintendent, this position assists with all functions of the Street/Park Department, including streets, parks and infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Perform essential manual labor and operate equipment in the maintenance of parks, city streets, and buildings.
- Communicate effectively with citizens, deliver excellent customer service, and listen attentively.
- Work cooperatively as a member of the team, develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, and show willingness to learn new skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- MN CDL Class A driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement issued within six months of hire.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Desired: employment experience in the Public Works field.
- Position requires a 40‑hour work week and may be subject to overtime based on work requirements.
