As a Flight Dispatcher, you will support MnDOT’s statewide air transportation program and the core business functions of the Office of Aeronautics. You will coordinate and manage flight scheduling and travel logistics; maintain accurate flight and travel records; analyze operational data to support safe and efficient decision‑making; and collaborate with pilots, staff, and state agencies to ensure timely, customer‑focused air transportation services.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
Qualifications Minimum QualificationsTwo years of professional experience that demonstrates the following:
- Experience maintaining accurate records and managing detailed information within a database; and
- Experience applying policies or procedures to resolve customer or operational issues; and
- Experience creating or using spreadsheets or reports to support decision‑making; and
- Experience using common business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
- Experience with Transportation Security Administrative (TSA) rules and regulations relating to complex portions or homeland security issues regarding airports and airspace
- Experience working with MnDOT or State of Minnesota policies related to aviation, travel or record retention.
- Experience with pilot/aircraft scheduling, flight planning, or emergency response plans.
Successful candidate must pass past‑employer reference checks and criminal history check.
