Twin City Staffing is seeking an experienced yard jockey for a temporary opportunity in Saint Paul, MN! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working independently outdoors, and have hands-on hostler experience, apply today for this excellent night-shift position!

Location:

Saint Paul, MN Wage: $22.00 – $26.00/hr. (Depending on qualifications)

Hours:

4:30 pm – 4:00 am (2-Week Rotating Night Schedule) Week 1:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Week 2:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Duties of the yard jockey:

• Safely operate shuttle trucks to move, couple, and uncouple trailers between docks, staging areas, and doors via radio instructions
• Perform daily shuttle maintenance checks, report garage malfunctions, and fuel yard truck as needed
• Conduct trailer safety inspections per DOT regulations and document all moves on daily sheets submitted to the shipping office
• Work effectively in all indoor and outdoor weather conditions while securing all equipment at the end of the shift

Requirements of the yard jockey :

• Prior experience as a yard hostler/driver required with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screening processes including drug, background, and criminal checks
• Basic math and communication skills to track trailer moves, complete paperwork, and collaborate with team members
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs., work outdoor conditions, and stand, walk, or climb in and out of trucks all shift
• High School Diploma or equivalent
