Storekeeper

Job Overview

Fairview is seeking a Storekeeper to join our team n's Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota. This is a full-time position (80 hours per two-week pay period) and is benefit eligible.

The anticipated schedule is 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with every other weekend required. Occasional evening shifts may be necessary to provide coverage during employee PTO. This position is represented by SEIU Local 113.

Meets customer service needs by receiving, stocking, counting, and distributing supplies and equipment to customer locations throughout the assigned facility. Accesses information and enters data on various computer systems used for managing supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

* Issues (dispenses) supplies to customers

* Takes inventory of customer par-stock locations and/or exchange carts and initiates requisition for supplies needed to restock the locations. Initiates requisitions for supplies needed to restock the locations.

* Delivers patient equipment in response to requests from customers.

* Responds to customer requests in a timely and appropriate manner

* Handles materials properly to prevent damage. Participates in scheduled physical inventories of the storeroom.

* Perform data entry related to Stores & Distribution activities on the ordering system People Soft.

* Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Manages and organizes assigned duties. Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions.

* Delivers and puts away supplies (both stock and non-stock) in customer locations according to established procedures.

* Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

* Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

* Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or G.E.D, or 2 years experience as Storekeeper in lieu of high school diploma or G.E.D.

Preferred Qualifications

* 1 year experience

* experience in receiving, storeroom, warehouse, or distribution of medical, surgical, or related supplies
