The Purchasing Manager is responsible for handling and overseeing the procurement of goods and services through appropriate bidding processes to achieve optimum price value while maintaining superior quality consistent with Highgate Hotel's established control policies and procedures. The Purchasing Manager also maintains and organizes the hotel's storage facilities, ensures proper distribution, and assists in implementation of key controls associated with the procurement and accounting of goods and services.
The Purchasing Manager will assist team members with the procurement processes; develop/update procurement policies and procedures. Will assist the Purchasing Director in weekly orders and in monthly inventory control.
- Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the team members to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as a secondary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
- Assist in procurement-related training programs for the purchasing team and organization.
- Meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement of their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement policies, procedures and programs as needed.
- Assist purchasing team members as needed daily.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
