Overview

R.O.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through effective supervision of maintenance staff.
  • Assist in solving complex maintenance problems and rapid decision-making. Contribute to the implementation of maintenance plans within budgetary constraints.
  • Supervise maintenance staff activities as required; train and mentor staff; follow up on maintenance technician jobs to ensure quality of work.
  • Schedule and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Complete work orders and daily projects reported by the front desk or assigned during shift.
  • Assist in assigning duties to all employees.
  • Perform skilled work in maintenance, repair, and upkeep of resort buildings and units (carpentry, plumbing, filter maintenance, light fixtures).
  • Maintain swimming pool facilities.
  • Coordinate, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems; operate and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; good driving record.
  • Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Facility Management preferred.
  • Experience in supervisory-level resort maintenance; 1–2 years of building and facilities maintenance experience.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).
  • Hazardous materials handling training within six months of hire.
  • 1 year experience in care, maintenance, and repair of large commercial/public pools and related equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task, identify safety risks, and address them quickly; proficient with OSHA guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills; problem-solving abilities; knowledge of Microsoft Office.
