Overview
R.O.
- Maintenance Technician 2 --Coral Reef Beach Resort at Capital Vacations. Opportunity for career advancement in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
- Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through effective supervision of maintenance staff.
- Assist in solving complex maintenance problems and rapid decision-making. Contribute to the implementation of maintenance plans within budgetary constraints.
- Supervise maintenance staff activities as required; train and mentor staff; follow up on maintenance technician jobs to ensure quality of work.
- Schedule and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Complete work orders and daily projects reported by the front desk or assigned during shift.
- Assist in assigning duties to all employees.
- Perform skilled work in maintenance, repair, and upkeep of resort buildings and units (carpentry, plumbing, filter maintenance, light fixtures).
- Maintain swimming pool facilities.
- Coordinate, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems; operate and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; good driving record.
- Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Facility Management preferred.
- Experience in supervisory-level resort maintenance; 1–2 years of building and facilities maintenance experience.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO).
- Hazardous materials handling training within six months of hire.
- 1 year experience in care, maintenance, and repair of large commercial/public pools and related equipment.
- Ability to multi-task, identify safety risks, and address them quickly; proficient with OSHA guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills; problem-solving abilities; knowledge of Microsoft Office.
