Security Officer - Overnight

Trade Winds Island Resorts, a top‑rated Tampa Bay resort, is seeking a Security Officer for overnight shifts to ensure a safe, secure, and accident‑free environment for guests and staff.

• Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations, including medical, security, guest complaints, etc.
• Respond to altercations, investigate, and document incidents.
• Have knowledge of hotel and guestroom locking systems.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Administer First Aid/CPR as necessary.
• Challenge suspicious persons.
• Check safety hazards.
• Complete incident and accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Monitor employees as they enter and exit the building.
• Conduct investigations related to property losses, guest and employee accidents, illnesses, and crimes against the hotel.
• Document all deliveries.
• Patrol area to ensure it is secure and free of unauthorized persons and disturbances.

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to employees and/or guests.
• Must possess a strong dedication to excellent customer service.
• Have a strong work ethic and ability to work around sensitive material.
• Must be able to safely lift upwards of 50 lbs or more.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must be able to work in Florida's hot climate for upwards of 8‑hour shifts.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are our busiest times.
