The Senior Accountant is a key member of the corporate accounting team and is responsible for supporting the monthly close process, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset and lease accounting records, and assisting with the continued development of accounting processes and internal controls. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and provides an opportunity to contribute to the growth and maturation of the accounting function.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial records while supporting audit, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by preparing, reviewing, and recording journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Support and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Perform analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate significant fluctuations.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting records, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation calculations, and periodic asset reconciliations.
  • Administer lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842, including lease additions, modifications, remeasurements, and periodic reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation and documentation of key internal controls and support management’s internal control compliance efforts.
  • Support the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and well-documented accounting environment that supports future growth and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain information necessary for accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reporting.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting and lease accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public accounting experience (audit experience preferred).
  • Experience with manufacturing companies.
  • Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842.
  • Experience supporting external audits and internal control environments.
  • Experience in a high‑growth or evolving organization.
