We're seeking a hands-on Turf/Sports Construction Superintendent to oversee athletic field construction projects throughout the Midwest. Projects include football, baseball, soccer, and other sports facilities, with a strong focus on grading, earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and site development.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, leading crews, and seeing a project come to life from start to finish. Whether you're already a Superintendent or a Foreman/Assistant Superintendent ready for more responsibility, this team is open to construction professionals who understand how work gets done in the field. (Will consider a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent looking for the opportunity to run your own projects and take the next step in your construction career!)
WhatYou'll Do
- Lead field operations from project kickoff through completion
- Manage crews of 4-8 employees
- Coordinate daily production, schedules, safety, and quality
- Oversee grading, site preparation, earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and field construction activities
- Work directly with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule and on budget
- Utilize Procore and Excel for project tracking and documentation
- Travel throughout the Midwest overseeing multiple projects each year
- 2-4+ years of Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or construction leadership experience
- Strong understanding of construction operations and field management
- Experience in earthwork, grading, excavation, concrete, civil construction, site development, golf course construction, or similar work
- Ability to lead crews while remaining actively involved in field operations
- Self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented
This is a rare opportunity to build a career that combines leadership, travel, and hands-on construction. You'll have the autonomy to run your projects, direct access to leadership, and the support needed to succeed. With strong bonus potential, company-provided resources, paid winter downtime, and project schedules that typically allow breaks between assignments, you'll enjoy a level of flexibility that is hard to find in the construction industry.
If you're looking for a role where your work is visible, your decisions matter, and your contributions directly impact the success of every project, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
