As a cook, you will assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.

• Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation
• Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
• Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
• Maintain children’s allergy list regularly.
• Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware
• Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
• Complies with all health regulations and the company’s best practices
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
• Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events.
• Step in to relieve staff for lunch and/or other breaks from their classroom.
• Supervise activities when covering in the classroom and ensure safety at all times.
• Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time on the needs of the daycare centers.

• High School diploma/GED equivalency required
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get
• Clear background checks and up-to-date health assessments.
• Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively.

• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Experience working with children.
