Job Description & How to Apply Below

About Us

Grace Community Chapel is a non-denominational Bible-teaching church in St. Peters, Missouri. We have a mission to proclaim Jesus and pursue maturity in Him.

Our youth ministry exists to present students mature in Christ. Central to the discipleship of our youth is deep Bible teaching, giving a full scope of the Scriptures so that students can hold to sound doctrine. We teach students not only what the Bible says but how to read the Bible.

We are looking for a Youth Minister who sees youth ministry with a pastor's heart. Someone who will clearly teach the whole scope of Scripture, who will prepare students to have a complete biblical worldview, lead a large team of committed godly adults, and partner well with parents. A commitment to whole family discipleship, especially working with our discipleship and kids directors will be a high priority.

Job Description

The Youth Minister is responsible for the education and growth of Grace Community Chapel (GCC) youth in grades six to twelve. This includes selecting curriculum, developing holistic lesson plans (including biblical teaching, fellowship, and praise), ensuring availability of proper lay staffing (both in quantity and in biblical maturity). In addition, develop discipleship avenues to ensure leaders and students are doctrinally prepared to lead in the future.

Requirements
  • A mature and exemplary walk with Christ, demonstrating a pursuit of godly character and a growing walk with Christ that is marked by humility, integrity, teachability, and a desire to live consistently with God's Word.
  • A heart for God, His Word, and His people, with an ability to engage, care for, and build relationships with and between students, parents, and leaders.
  • An ability to faithfully teach and apply Scripture in large-group settings and other discipleship contexts. Preaching/lecture teaching/discussion teaching.
  • A biblical philosophy and plan for discipleship. A real plan that gives clarity to students, leaders, and parents as to why the youth ministry exists and how this will truly proclaim Christ and help students mature in Christ.
  • An ability to personally disciple students and equip volunteer leaders to do the work of ministry alongside him, including a willingness to help students, leaders, and parents apply Scripture to the real issues of life and to grow in his own ability to do so.
  • A desire to partner with and support parents in their God-given responsibility for the discipleship of their children.
  • A humility to serve as part of a ministry staff and alongside volunteer leadership, receiving direction, correction, and input from others. Refusing to silo youth ministry as an entirely separate entity within our church.
  • Agreement with Grace Community Chapel's Statement of Faith and affirmation of the Doctrinal Guidelines for Teachers and Leaders.
