Coordinates programmatic and administration aspects of AEL including implementation of projects and development of new programs. Supervision of all aspects of HSE programming, classrooms, and instructors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates programs, events, professional development courses and seminars with instructors. Coordinates and oversees all aspects of HSE instructor performance, classroom teaching, and documentation for program reporting. Creates a schedule for registration, assessment, and enrollment. Oversees the hiring of her HSE instructors, tracks certification requirements, and assists dean in all aspects of program operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the teacher mentoring program.
- Prepare payroll reporting, audit for inconsistencies, assist in preparation of budget reporting for reimbursement based on salary and supply expenses.
- Coordinates classroom/office supply billing as well as purchase orders.
- Conducts data entry and spreadsheet development for use in preparing reports.
- Assists with all aspects of special projects.
- Teaches or substitute teaches
Supervises all high school equivalency students and instructors, including off-campus classrooms. Some travel is required. Travel is reimbursed at current college rate. Evening hours are required.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in education, project management or a closely related subject area. Employee must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products and possess strong data analysis skills. Strong communication and organizational skills are needed. Employee should possess the ability to work with a diverse group of people from all socio-economic levels and work well with those who do not have good English-speaking skills.
Flexibility in working hours is required. Being multi-lingual is a plus. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Proficiency with MS Office products.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with issues and concerns that may occur randomly or sporadically. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSAdult Education and Literacy teaching certificate is required. The program will provide this certification to the right candidate.
