Job Description
Step into a vital role making a difference in the lives of K-12 students as a contracted school psychologist. This full-time opportunity places you on-site, working closely with students and staff, providing your expertise in special education evaluations and Child Find-based assessments. The assignment is anticipated across two campuses in the greater St. Louis area, serving a varied student population and collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams.
As a school psychologist in this role, you'll complete an average of 32 cases over the academic year, typically managing a caseload of 8-10 at any one time. Flexibility is available for those interested in part-time or shorter-term assignments. Your work will contribute significantly to students’ educational journeys, ensuring their needs are met and supporting their growth and wellbeing.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid Missouri Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience conducting special education evaluations within the K-12 setting
- Familiarity with Child Find processes and procedures
- Capacity to manage confidential student information in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines
- Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting and submit necessary documentation for credentialing
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational assessments for special education eligibility
- Participate in team-based decision-making for student support services
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and reports
- Engage with families, staff, and administrators to support students’ educational outcomes
- Adhere to required timelines for evaluations and reporting
- Complete required district paperwork, including technology use agreements
