Job Summary
The City of St. Peters is seeking a Streets/Traffic Intern to assist with the inspection of transportation and public works improvement projects. This hands‑on role provides valuable experience in infrastructure inspections, data collection, and project documentation within the Streets and Traffic Departments.
Normal ShiftMon‑Fri; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities- Participate in field inspections and assign condition ratings for streets, sidewalks, signs, and other transportation infrastructure.
- Assist with construction oversight, material inspection, and project documentation for roadway, sidewalk, traffic signal, and other transportation‑related projects.
- Update and prepare infrastructure maps using GIS software and GPS units.
- Ensure all work complies with City safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license in the state of Missouri.
- Ability to carry a handheld GPS unit or tablet for several hours.
