Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is looking for an Interfaces Project Manager - Biomedical Engineering to lead small-scale projects encompassing multiple tasks with a total life cycle budget and complexity comparable to the task order ks may include tracking and coordinating medical device and clinical system interfaces through the project lifecycle; formulating and defining system scope and objectives in accordance with the customer technical requirements;

compiling and analyzing technical data; advising client management and customers on complex system projects and activities; working closely with customers to define communication systems and equipment requirements; providing instruction on and performing and documenting quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications:

The Contractorpersonnelshallmeetthefollowingbasicqualifications,regardlessofroleintheservicesprovidedunderthiscontract:

• Experiencewithinamedicalcenterand Biomedical Engineering department
• Experienceworkinginorwiththe Veterans Health Administration (VHA)
• Understanding of
  
  VISN,VAmedicalcenter,and Biomedical Engineeringdepartmentoperations

Additional required qualifications:

• ABachelor’sdegreeorhigherin
  
  Engineeringor Certificationasa Clinical Engineer (CCE).
• Aminimumofthreeyearsofhospitalorhealthcareexperiencemaintainingmedicalequipmentormanagingahospitalmedicalequipmentprogram.
• Musthaveprovenexperienceworkingwithinthe
  
  U.S.Department of Veteran'sAffairs
• Demonstratedknowledgeofconceptsrelatedtocomputerbasedmedicalsystems,networking protocols,andinformationsecurityasitappliestomedicaltechnologywithin
  
  VHA.
• Extensiveexperiencedesigning,developing,andimplementingclinicalsysteminterfaceswithelectronichealthrecords,ensuringcompliancewithrelevantstandardsandprotocols(e.g.,HL7,FHIR,DICOM).
• Extensiveexperienceinmanagingmedicalimagingsystems,ensuringcompliancewith
  
  DICOMstandardsforimagestorage,retrieval,and transfer.
• Provenabilitytoleadprojectsrelatedtointegratingbiomedicaldevicesandsystemswith Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) using
  
  HL7andDICOMprotocols.
• Demonstratedskillinincommunicatingandworkingcollaborativelywithkeystakeholders,including technical,clinical,andprofessionalstaffatvariouslevelsoftheorganization.
• Understandingofregulatoryagencies’requirements(TJC),industryregulatoryrequirementsand
  
  International Standard Organization standards .
• Mustbelegallyauthorizedtoworkinthe United Stateswithouttheneedforemployersponsorship ,noworatanytimeinthefuture
• Mustbeabletoobtainandmaintaintherequiredfederalpublictrustclearanceforthisrole

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Salary range:$90,000-$115,000
